weekend_club.jpg

Here is my latest video from yesterday. I trashed myself pretty much, came home around 11am and feel like shit right now. I try to go to bed early today to be refreshed for tomorrow.
It seems that I cut one finger from glass pretty much. I will take a break from clubbing for a while I think.

by globalnanpa in News

maid_in_akihabara.jpg

I really like maid cafes. I had been twice to places in Akihabara and Shibuya. Sadly I wasn’t allowed to shoot video in there. These are some sweet videos about maid cafes.

berlin_nightlife.jpg

Here is my latest video from the home front. From my point of view Berlin is the world’s best clubbing town. I have a personal preference for some party spots in Asia especially because of the girls, the food and exotic style. However if I have to evaluate objectively the best party town, it is clearly Berlin for me, Barcelona I would give a high rating for Europe too. No other place that I know of has such a dynamic artistic scene and fresh music vibe. Moreover there are no closing hours, in general a tolerant police and it is very affordable too.

rich_thai_lady.jpg

From Forbes :

Political and economic uncertainty has plagued Thailand since Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra (ranked 16th among the nation’s richest) was deposed in a 2006 coup. The country’s pro-Thaksin government, elected in 2007, survived a vote of no confidence in June, but protests by opposition groups continue. While the nation is on track to grow 5.3% in 2008, the baht slipped 12% against the dollar, and the Stock Exchange of Thailand has fallen 11% since January.
Despite all that, Thailand’s 40 richest people have proved to be a stable lot. Perhaps because the list is dominated by businesses established decades ago, or perhaps because the same families have run the enterprises for so long, there has been little change. All 40 appeared on the list in 2007 or 2006, or have taken the spots of relatives who previously appeared.
Last year, for instance, we listed Sasithorn Ratanarak as the head of the Ratanarak family. This year her son Krit, CEO and chairman of the family’s Bangkok Broadcasting and TV, is listed, though the underlying fortune remains the same.
Chaleo Yoovidhya, worth $4 billion, returns to his No 1. spot–up $500 million, thanks to strong global sales of his Red Bull energy drink. His runner-up again is beer maker Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi, up $600 million. They are two of eight tycoons who made most of their fortune in food and beverages, more than any other industry (auto parts had six).
Beverage and media tycoons occupy six of the top 10 positions in this year’s rankings. Collectively, they are worth $11.6 billion, close to half the combined worth of the entire 40.
Chaleo and Charoen are also first-generation entrepreneurs who still hold the bulk of their wealth, an increasing rarity among this top 40. More commonplace are families whose wealth is now in the hands of the founders’ wives, children or grandchildren. That’s one reason why nine women made the cut, seven of them widows who inherited their wealth from their husbands.
Even founders who remain in charge of their businesses engage in pre-emptive estate planning, distributing their fortunes to their family members while they are still alive. Although Vichai Maleenont is still the chairman of media company BEC World, he no longer holds a substantial number of shares in his name. Nishita Shah, the list’s youngest member at age 28, got her valuable shares in Precious Shipping thanks to her father, who founded the company.
In a nod to these families who dominate Thai business, and in an attempt to more fairly compare fortunes, this year we grouped relatives who got their wealth from the same person or company together. So the three Thai Rath newspaper heirs who last appeared as individuals are now together under the mother, Praneetsilpa, who is also the wealthiest.
In the case of the Chirathivat clan, we group together all descendants of the late founder of Central Group, the source of the wealth. These newly combined families are denoted with a circle. Some relatives who have their own interests are listed separately, such as Niti Osathanugrah, cousin of Petch and Ratch Osathanugrah, brothers whose holdings were formerly listed under their father, Surat, who died in 2008.
Combining family fortunes helped boost the top 40’s total worth to $25 billion, up $6 billion. It also allowed for more entries and helped cut the minimum net worth by $44 million, to $65 million. We used the nation’s stock exchange data and its Ministry of Commerce for much of the shareholding information. We estimated the worth of private companies by figuring out what they could be worth if public. Fortunes were calculated using June 26 prices and exchange rates.

chinese_dating.jpg

From : http://www.915915.com.cn/default.asp

A man has to have RMB 10 mm assets to qualify for the dating party. You have to pay around 6000 Euros (!!) to attend this event. For women it’s free. Basically it’s like a place for rich guys to find GFs…or mistresses…or escorts, I guess.

chinese_single_1.jpg

The girls on the pics look quiet good, but online girls are mostly perfectionists in editing their pics. From my point of view, chinese girls are the most materialistic of all Asian girls I have met so far during travel.

chinese_single_2.jpg

My friends who had been in Shanghai and HongKong in general confirm that. But as long as the money machine (you) runs well, there are a lot of options in China. Chinese girls are expensive. I heard real stories of some businessmen who buy Mini Cooper’s for their mistresses. It seems to be quiet common to do that or even to buy a medium sized apartment for her where the love sessions are also happening then.
Well, I also know a cute 20-year-old Thai girl who got a brand-new Mercedes SLK from a young German dude. She once took me to RCA, a clubbing street in Bangkok with her new car. She loves it :-)

A good chinese friend of mine who currently works in private equity in Beijing will soon visit me for a week in Germany. We might go for a weekend to Prague.
