I am finally back from a long and intense Thailand, Philippines and Cambodia trip. I stayed quiet a long time in Bangkok, visited Pattaya, chilled out in Hua Hin, did a spontaneous Koh Chang trip over Loy Krathong, hopped over to Phnom Penh where I stayed much shorter than planned and returned to Angeles City, sadly without including Boracay this year.
So many things happened that my brain still has a lot problems to process all the information and memories. I forgot a lot things at first but the memories are now returning while watching the video material (8h) that I shot. The last 2 weeks I was too tired to shoot video at all and the final week I was completely out of energy. This trip was almost too long or I started too fast/radical without taking any breaks. I got drunk again far too often and too much. I have to apologize again to all the people I pissed off along the way. Again I met a lot of really cool characters. Some of them you will see in the videos, about others I will only write and some I better don’t mention.
I managed that I had to go to hospital 3 times during this trip, including a 2 day stay at Bumrungrad, Thailand’s most prestigious hospital. I report later in detail about this interesting experience. I didn’t lose any money this time, yes I did spent a lot - but I stayed in my preplanned budget. On the last day in the Philippines, a girl most likely stole my mobile phone which was quiet annoying for the ongoing trip as there was plenty of information and contact numbers inside. I got a new one now in Germany and gladly had made a backup a month ago before the trip started. Next time I will take a crappy second phone with me for wild nights. I hope to learn from my mistakes.
For those who think that these trips go too far or are out of control, I can only respond with this quotation :
Life’s journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out shouting- “Damn, what a ride”.
