What is Nanpa ?
„Nampa, nanpa, or girl hunting, is Japan’s most visible courtship ritual. Although it also takes place online and via Telefone clubs, the most famous form of nampa is „suto-nan“ (street nampa). Every weekend, across urban Japan, young men („nanpashi“) hang around busy streets or shopping arcades, trying to pick up passing girls.Sometimes the girl does the hard work – this is known as „gyaku nampa“ (reverse nampa) – but it’s much less common. Approaches vary from the cliched „Ocha demo shinai?“ (Won’t you have a tea with me?“) to more sophisticated tactics, but it’s generally pretty obvious what the guy is really after. For serious nanpashi, the aim is to get the young lady into a love hotel by the end of the night, but a (genuine) cell phone number is a decent consolation. The word „nampa“ was used in the Meiji period to refer to young men who spent too much time around women. Literally meaning „soft group“ as opposed to the more self-disciplined hard group, it carried a derogatory nuance which survives today. Since then, nampa has come to replace the loan phrase „garu hanto“ to refer to skirt chasing.
“From Japan For The Uninvited”

So, Nanpa can be more or less understood as girl hunting.
This website is not only about japanese girls, I only liked the term. I focus on portraying especially Asian countries because i regard that area as the most exciting one. I hope the video guides, trip reports, hotel reviews, bar/club info, restaurant guides, spa/massage parlor info will be of help for people considering visiting those places or just to be kept updated how the recent situation looks like.
Global Nanpa is a lifestyle and travel brand. Global Nanpa was the first travel site worldwide which rigorously integrated self-made videos into its guides to give you the most authentic impression of places, people and events. Follow the adventures of cspielberger’s “Global Nanpa” as he looks for finding the true girl-friend experience while travelling around the world and meets a lot of cool characters along the way.
I am 31 years old, studied pharmaceutical sciences in Berlin, Germany and biomedical engineering at MIT, Cambridge, USA with a scholarship. I quitted my Ph.D. program but optained a M.Sc. degree, worked in academics and the pharma industry and am now an entrepreneur in the pharma/healthcare sector. Global Nanpa is my hobby. I try to entertain you with my travel&girls adventures. Global Nanpa is a registered trademark. All rights reserved.
The founding of Global Nanpa on January 5th, 2008 could have the same revolutionary long-term impact on society like the first edition of the Playboy in 1953. Everyone likes girls and travelling and what we are doing and showing here is the real world as you don’t know it from TV. We erase the lies society tries to brainwash you with, we break with common rules and most important we enjoy our life to the fullest, maximizing happiness and not profit, willing to take the risk not to accept the fears our society tries to inflict on its honorable citizens. Global Nanpa has the potential to change the lifestyle of millions of people, letting them reconsider their goals/dreams and how they manage their free time. Global Nanpa will shake the fundamental pillars of non-happy (almost all) societies very badly.
Before I started my “world tour”, I was believing what I got educated with.
There are lots of places I saw in the beginning where I didn’t had a camera with me, but nothing struck me like South East Asia.
I would say my real journey didn’t begin before my first Thailand trip in 2005. It was actually a Boston girl with whom I spent some debauchery time in Paris who recommended me to go to Thailand to get more relaxed. Damn, I didn’t expect that this would become life-changing.
I experienced there how life really works, started to look behind the curtain, questioned things and got to know how people behave in extreme situations.
The lies of the people in power was what I started to hate most : Exploitation, manipulation and corruption used for controlling the mass.
Therefore my goal is to bring as many people as possible into SEA. Once they had been there, they will be “screwed” forever and will never believe the lies anymore they get told.
The system/matrix will break apart and set us free.
That’s the mission of Global Nanpa.

Hi Michael,
glad that you like the blog.
Bangkok is huge, really depends on what you like to experience.
1. Best bet for bar girl areas would be Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy.
2. Hotel bars if you prefer stylish freelancers.
3. RCA in the evening and Siam Square in the afternoon if you want to
go for nanpa freebies but no guarantee for success.
4. G-clubs like the Pent, Forte or Resort for an entertaining evening
with sexy girls.
This is just a very short and selective overview of what could be done. Hope it helps a bit.

really love the website & the concept behind it!
just curious, how did you get to know all these cool places around Asia?
do you have much free time (what about ur work?) to explore in each country, or do you get info from your friends too?
other than that curiosity, i think i’ll hang out more in ur website, starting from now!hehe
