Hua Hin and Koh Chang during Loy Krathong, 2008 : Trip report
Hua Hin was one my final destinations and I went there for relaxation, chilling out. As I was completely out of energy, 3 days Hua Hin and doing almost nothing was just what I needed.
I went there together with a nice girl from Bangkok. She didn’t talk much English but having some quiet hours and days was welcome for me during that time.
Usually I prefer girls who talk quiet a lot because I am a more quiet person myself. But in this case it was what I needed.
Hua Hin is a friendly, small town which got famous for its spa resorts. Price level is very decent and even the top hotels won’t cost that much.
The amount of German and European tourists is incredible there, almost looks like a German colony, some of the top resorts get more than 50% of the bookings from Germany and about every 5th restaurant at the market had a German menu card translation. I got this nostalgic feeling of old Germany during 70s-80s that I also had when visiting Clarkton Hotel in Angeles City, where lots of old values and habits are still alive.
Chiang Mai has a lot more cultural things to explore and things to do. I would only go to Hua Hin for relaxing and mostly staying at your resort. I would not stay longer than 3 days. I highly recommend the AKA resort. I had a pool villa there which I liked a lot and it only costs you about 1/2 of what you would pay for such service/villa on Bali for example.
The beach is not great but at least they have one. People are friendly and no aggressive sales people around, similar like in Chiang Mai.
I was checking out pharmacies in Hua Hin and some employees were asking me German pharmacy everyday routine questions, they were taking notes on for example what dry or slimy coughing means in German because of the high frequency of such questions there.
I was glad to help a little and continued to extend my network which is now getting quiet strong in SEA, most strong in Jakarta and Bangkok.
Needless to say, of course we were checking out the hotel spa. It was an open air spa, located at a little lake and very quiet. We enjoyed the treatment. What else ? Lieing at the pool, swimming, sex, lieing at the pool, eating, sleeping. Time was flying…
About my time in Koh Chang during Loy Krathong I decided not to write much. A few things I also want to keep private for myself. The video gives you the best taste anyway. It is a tribute to my friend O. Special thanks to Yeow from Koh Chang airsoft park and Kiki from “you and me” bar.
She is an amazing lady. I also stayed with her Loy Krathong the previous year and she told me that her last Loy Krathong wish was to see me again Loy Krathong the following year. It was a magical moment when she told me that. I wonder what she wished for this time ? I told her what i wish for (you still remember ?). By the way, you also see her in the video where she walks through “The tunnel“ in Bangkok from Sukhumvit Soi 5 to Soi 7. Some people on the street actually recognized her in BKK because of my video and talked to her. Global Nanpa leaving an impact. Too funny.
I doubt this video will become popular because it does not show enough naked flesh or any naughtiness, but it is not important. For me personally this video has a very high value.
I am more the romance-type guy anyway. FucXing those 12 pussies in Pattaya has in no way the same value as this. Sex is too short and it can get boring quick, you cannot fill a day with it. What i had with O. was special and meaningful. Those memories will last and those are the experiences I ultimately look for.
I am going to report more on my longer time in Bangkok later.
Here is the vimeo video. I will also release it on youtube later once the sound delay bugs got fixed.

Hi Mike,
thanks.
Just uploaded a new BKK clubbing video on vimeo.
I still have the sound delays on youtube, this might take a while. So I will only upload now “sound-irrelevant” videos at this time to youtube.
The good stuff is coming now first on vimeo. i like this platform more anyway, however it is not used that often but viewers have a better taste and the better directors are there as well.
i have the feeling that around 25% of all male youtube viewers are just searching for new wanking material. Otherwise traffic of some video sorts could not be explained. I can live without such viewers…

the godfather of European pharma and pharmacies committed suicide today. He was the 5th richest German.
Now if that is not a sign…

Hi Paalam,
you might want to check the post before, Cundall posted some interesting info there in the comments. Maybe he got some additional backpacker recommendation ?
Like I said before the cheapest good hotel I visited in AC was the Clarkton Hotel. I cannot recommend anything that I have not seen or thought of long enough.
I did backpacking once in Australia and New Zealand in 2004. Once and never again…Sydney is quiet fun though but forget nanpa there.

Hi, I love your Internet site, and the mix of its sophistication and touch of craziness (perfectly blended). I am a finance lawyer from Norway in my thirties, going to Bangkok the end of February. Let me know if you want to have a drink or two while I am there (living the life style you’re projecting).

that’s the way to build truly strong companies. Just look at all the high flyers from last few years smeldering in their own ruins around us. Too many houses built out of cards.

My friend, I think going slow is a great way to build businesses. You get to lay a solid foundation, create a team of capable managers LOYAL to you, and you get to balance life and work.

hehe, still very far away from that.
this is just the beginning now.
but there not many people left now who can really shake the market. in terms of pharma retailing in germany i am now the person with the most potential.
but i dont want to take too high risk. i prefer to grow slow and finishing every task before doing too much.

Hi Borg,
thanks for your message. I placed your private message into the comments because everything here shall be public.
I hope you have a good time in Bangkok. Unfortunately I won’t be around that time in BKK. I am currently very busy with work.
Thanks for the compliments.
I like that there seem to be quiet a few people out there like you who know to appreciate SEA the way it should be.

i really like the way u show and express thing to peoples to the world,
it’s getting late for me to stay up watching ur vid,
just wanna say Thank u For Sharing ur experian to us incoulding me

Hi!
It is indeed a really good page and very well done.
For folks who think about going to SEA: They can amend their knowledge and get useful information because there is a lack of information in the net about this concrete life-style and this is really the first page which offers it.
And for travellers who have already been there or regularly be there: They can bear in remembrance, recall lovely experiences and be closer to the place of fun and vitality.
There is only one thing which is better than reading the blog and watching the videos: to experience it yourself.
Thankful,
André
