Hanging out with sexy Thai chicks at Four Seasons hotel, Bangkok

It was a really fine evening with those 3 sexy Thai girls. Because of elections the next day, most places didn’t serve alcohol. So we decided to kill the mini bar first, but we actually got served drinks later on anyway.

These girls had already  helped me with a first Bangkok party at 808 in 2009. The style of the model above very much changed, I didn’t recognize her when I first saw her again.

Bedsupperclub, Bangkok September 2010

Bedsupperclub is one of the most established clubs in Bangkok. It lacks a special atmosphere and appears like Sage club in Berlin. On the positive side they know how to handle international guests and do a fine job promoting their place to farangs and to Thai chicks who love the spotlight and maybe also look for boyfriend sponsors. On some special event nights it is still worth to go for me, moreover they are so well-known that I am forced to make a visit sometimes. The location I regard as positive as well, in the middle of Sukhumvit Soi 11. It is just not my world, but I still see their strenghts. I was by the way the first one who ever released a public video of Bedsupperclub : of their new year party 2006. Here is a short new video :

Around at Lumpini park, Siam Square and Siam Paragon

Around at Lumpini park, Siam Square and Siam Paragon

I love flirting and doing nanpa with promo girls. You find a lot really sweet ones in Siam Paragon, some also at Siam Square and Lumpini park. I am not primarily interested in collecting phone numbers, often the longer I stay in Bangkok the more I get a desire for staying a while with a funny and a little thoughtful girl. The girls you might meet at Lumpini park appeared real to me in that case. I didn’t release my entire video material here for certain reason.

On the picture above and below you easily see the two different worlds of the game. Show&looks versus kindness&affection.

lumpini_park_1_globalnanpa

It is really incredible. There are not many places in the world where I just walk around and a lot people start smiling at me. You can clearly see in their faces that this is a very unprejudiced, open and maybe curious smile. In western countries people, and especially sexy girls, will try everything to curve a distance around them, always holding back other people because of having a negative first thought of a person. In Bangkok the first thought is a positive one. Let me tell you honestly that this is MUCH more striking and letting you feel well long-term than having the possibility to being surrounded by sexy girls all the time.

lumpini_park_2_globalnanpa

Lumpini park is the green lung of Bangkok. You will see a lot of families and people jogging/working out there or they just come to relax.

I love street food. Bangkok is the world’s only city where I am still in early-stage progress of establishing a restaurant video guide, I probably won’t do it for other cities. But there is no need to spend big bucks at expensive restaurants all the time. You will find so many good food stalls for little money. I also am impressed how healthy most Thais eat. You will get some very fresh fruits, I eat more healthy there than in my own country because it is just often more easily accessible.

Here is the video, it also includes “the smiles will return” festival which got sponsored by the Tourism Authority of Thailand :

Ramkhamhaeng University, Bangkok

Ramkhamhaeng University, Bangkok

Ramkhamhaeng university is the largest university of the country and it is a public one. The major negative issue that surprised me was that it was rather the exception to find students who spoke well English. But the major positive thing about Ramkhamhaeng is that the students seem to be very friendly and are easily approachable. The worst behaving students I met were Thammasat business&law students. You guessed right : i get along best with people coming from health related sciences, engineering/technologies or arts. The best university in Thailand for such study fields is clearly Chulalongkorn University (still ranking only #180 worldwide). They are the best of the country followed by Chiang Mai University (CMU).

The university area is pretty big. Around it there are plenty of cafes, little restaurants with low prices and lots of young people in general. I had a good impression of the area. The video isn’t spectacular but it gives you a feel for how it looks like walking around there.

Global Nanpa : The man with the map

Global Nanpa is back with a bang. Lots of fresh videos, pictures and stories are coming up now. I am starting with a video which is something like a summary of the trip. I will address all scenes in individual posts and give credit to the people involved later on.

Some people in Pattaya were calling me this time “the man with the map” related to Richard in “The beach”. I thought this would make a fine video title. It is pretty much incredible how many people already know Global Nanpa in South East Asia.

When coming back from my recent trip, I got shocked that Vimeo deleted my entire account without any warning. The account generated around 1 million total views per year. The video : ” Jakarta: The big durian – you’re my breakfast” caused problems. I had released the video on July 12th, 2009, 5 days before the Jakarta bombings. The other video is “Jakarta Underground-a tribute to Toni Wibisono (+June 2009)”. I also predicted the red shirt protests in Bangkok (war against the elite) correctly. The video “Rio de Janeiro: Big bunda land (BBL) indicates it. I released it originally in April 2009, 1 year before the protests turned violent. Someday I am going to host the (almost) full library of videos on this site.

On the picture above you see Dodo and me.

Scenes the video include : Pattaya by night and day, Bangkok, dating and dining with Thai models, bargirls, Soi Cowboy/Nana plaza, lower Sukhumvit, Patpong during heavy rain explained by American expat (I guess that will become very popular), G-clubs and girls, Siam Square/Siam Paragon/Lumpini park nanpa action, Ramkhaheng and Chulalongkorn University, motorbiking through Bangkok, Dusit Thani hotel, Dusit D2 hotel, Four Seasons hotel Bangkok, Peninsula hotel and spa, Sukhothai hotel/Sunday brunch/interviews, several restaurants, clubs like Funky Villa, 808, Pent, St.Moritz, massage parlors like Poseidon on Ratchadapisek and the ones on Sukhumvit Soi 33, ladyboys/katoeys and a new ladyboy interview, Bangkok music artists like Dandee&Yusuke (Bangkok Invaders), Twopee (Southside Phuket), Thaitanium and Bangkok Electro.

I am closing with a citation of Ferris Bueler :

“I am not going to sit on my ass as the events that affect me unfold to determine the course of my life. I’m going to take a stand. I’m going to defend it. Right or wrong, I’m going to defend it”

Innocent, sweet Indonesian girl : GHP blows your mind !

V., 18, from Bandung says : ” GHP is the perfect escape from western mind-fuck terror.
It makes me feel happy and horny. It blows your mind !”

v_bandung_girl_2_grandhyatt_globalnanpa

Of course she doesn’t say that. She is a real Bandung cutie. I guess there is not much to say about this video. Next to the sweet looks of her, it also gives you a first demonstration of the Global Happy Pills (GHP) power :

The shadow of equinox

Indonesian girls are the latinas of SEA. Some have really curvy bodies and mixed blood. I seem to have established a preference for girls from Bandung. These girls are hot assets and I got to know why. The girl above is from Bandung and I have one more coming up also from Bandung. Next time I want to explore the city.

Ok, let’s shortly dive into the video. It is a love declaration to Stadium Jakarta. It shows you a tiny fraction of this dark/noir/gloomy/unreal place. Stadium is the landmark of Jakarta nightlife. Everyone knows it, half hates it, the other one loves it. It is very controversial. Equinox/X2 is also included in the beginning.

german_embassy_jakarta_globalnanpa

I personally really like the video, although I don’t think it will become a popular one. Don’t worry, the stuff most are waiting for is already finished in the pipeline.

X2, 3rd year anniversary party, Jakarta

mo-bar_jakarta_globalnanpa_1

X2, 3rd year anniversary party, Jakarta

Here is a video of the 3 year anniversary party of X2, Jakarta’s biggest club. The party was sweet. Lots of flirt-hungry normal girls are always around at X2, it is an ultimate place for nanpa. The rooms are large, although lack a special atmosphere. It is recommended to go there for special events. Indonesiaclubbing is the best website for checking that.

X2 is very well managed, you also see the owner and manager in the video. X2 knows best how to handle international guests, Stadium and Dragonfly are pretty good at it as well. By chance I ran across Carson Q. there, the club ambassador. They have a cool dude there, X2 really is professional. I also saw some familiar faces from other places who now seem to do joint things with X2.

The pictures above and below I think I took at Mo Bar, Mandarin oriental during ladies night. I was sometimes so wasted that even after checking all videos and putting together the puzzle pieces I am not getting together some stuff that happened. The CD the girl above has in her hands somehow must have come into my travel bag later on. The music is cool though but I cannot remember the story behind it.

Ok, check out the video which gives you a good impression of the place and its staff.

Funky Villa, Thong Lo; St. Moritz, Sukhumvit Soi 11 and the updated Bar/Club guide Bangkok

So here are more videos of 2 heavyweight champions for the updated Bar/Club guide Bangkok :

http://www.globalnanpa.com/blog/barclub-guide-bangkok

Funky Villa is currently without doubt, the hippest and most talked club in town. The reason is simple : They are a magnet for sexy chicks and have an excellent location. The music taste of Thais is sometimes not my thing though, I am more an Indonesian music listener. At Club Demo which is located just next to it they play more independent stuff but it is sadly a lot less popular. The owner is super-successful with this place, lives a lavish lifestyle and drives a white Lamborghini. Respect. The only way to get my business respect is to create something original, to work hard on it and to leave an impact in the end. That criteria got fulfilled by the Funky Villa and the St. Moritz owner as well who is an incredible friendly guy furthermore as well, Vann (Bangkok Electro) surprisingly turned out to be a good friend of him which I didn’t know before. Funky Villa and St. Moritz are 2 of the most innovative forces shaping Bangkok’s world-celebrated nightlife business.

I am not impressed of people who inherited the money (like more than 90% of the cases) and also not impressed of people who only speculated with money (hedge funds, etc.), creating nothing in the end. Private Equity and Venture capital I am fine with because the people stick for a longer period of time with a company and help improving it, so real value is created.

Shopping malls Jakarta : Ratu Plaza, Plaza Senayan, Plaza Semanggi, Plaza Indonesia

plaza_senayan_jakarta_globalnanpa

Shopping malls Jakarta : Ratu Plaza, Plaza Senayan, Plaza Semanggi, Plaza Indonesia

Here is a video of 4 main shopping malls of Jakarta. The shopping malls don’t reach the class of Bangkok at all, but they are a bit better than the ones in Manila (Greenbelt, Glorietta, etc.). My personal favorite one is Ratu Plaza : It is their major electronics mall and the people appeared to be most real there. Electronics in general are pretty expensive because of import taxes, I would not buy there if you are not forced to do so. Personal favorite store is Doss on the 3rd flor. Plaza Indonesia is the most flashy one but there is not a single place inside there that interests me. I am in general no big shopper and dislike most shopping malls, I prefer street boutique stores. In Bangkok places like MBK or Siam Paragon can be fun though. The good thing about Jakarta is that you rarely see any foreigner / bule there. Flirting at places like Ratu Plaza is easy, the girls are friendly and easy approachable, best of all most of them appear real and they are no ultimate scammers like 99% of the cases in Thailand. Times will change there as well with faster, cheaper internet connection and a strong rise of Facebook. But I guess that Indonesia is still more than 1 decade away that the girls turn from faithful to con-artists.
