Sanook bar, the tunnel, alley between Sukhumvit Soi 5 and 7
Sanook bar is one of my all-time favorite casual beer bars across whole South East Asia.
People don’t go there for the girls, they go there for having some hassle-free fun. It is a small place, but got a great atmosphere. There is no better word than “sanook” to express the cheerful, friendly spirit of the Thais, the ultimate strenghts of the country.
I have never seen a bar that I would call as multi-national as that place, you get an impression of it inside the video. The bar is owned by a Belgium guy, you see him in the end of my Bloody Pussy Rampage video. In that video you see an Iranian-American guy who is running the place when the Belgium owner is at home.
Tar tried to teach me writing a few words in Thai. It was nice of her but when getting drunk too often, the timing for studying languages is not the best. Maybe next time a little more…
On Soi 5 and 7 you see more and more black dudes which I appreciate. I always got along well with black dudes in the past. They are not fake and mostly stick to their word.
So, being at Sanook bar, having a Singha and eating a Tom Yam Goong : I really don’t need more to be happy…
