Yamazato restaurant, Okura hotel, Bangkok
Yamazato is the new signature restaurant of the Okura hotel.

Similar like at the Zuma of the St. Regis hotel, I had high expectations and again I got dissapointed, even in a stronger way. I had a Sushi Kaiseki there for THB 4500++ and have to say that the dishes as well as the dining experience were very mediocre.
At Isao you get far better Suhsi for a much lower price and at Hanako the traditional feel for a good japanese restaurant is much more authentic.
On the positive end I have to mention the lovely kimonos and greeting behavior of staff. Service during the dinner wasn’t great still, so it’s just the look and impressive use of design materials you basically pay for.
